The Name: Jalalabad was originally born in Ilford Lane by the Mr Islam and Mr Ali during the 1970's. It soon was an instant success. In just a few years, Jalalabad became a household name in the Ilford area. It won many awards and has been in the Good Cobra Curry Guide Top 100 for many years. During the early years of establishing Jalalabad and its takeaway service, it has been the hard work of both these extraordinary gentleman, their sons and other members of their family whom have created what Jalalabad Restaurants are today.   The History: Jalalabad has been managed by the Mr N Islam, Mr B Islam, Jay Rashid and Mr Ali since its opening. Since then, Jalalabad 2 restaurant has been added to the chain, and there are plans for more... in London.  Mr N Islam (Head chef and Proprietor) has helped organise and create skilled chefs along the way since his early days at the Jalalabad, Ilford Lane, many have taken the skills and passion to create their own restaurants and takeaways, locally, regionally and even abroad (e.g. Spain). Established for over 32 years Jalalabad, Ilford Lane was opened in the late 1970`s. It has been producing consistently good quality, flavoursome and perfectly replicated dishes in the town for decades.
